This annual field day will be conducted virtually on August 12, 2020, due to COVID 19. Research and Extension faculty will present current research at the Midville facility to include agronomic, pest, and disease management of row crops as well as plant breeding and variety trials. After registering, an email will be sent out at later date containing a link to the field day presentation.

In our laboratories, internationally known scientists produce cultivars that people are growing, and we have more varieties in the field than any other university in the country. Plus, we provide the basic science that helps plant breeders around the world develop better, more adaptable, advanced plant varieties. We have mapped the genome of wild peanut, domestic peanut, sorghum, sunflower, canola and corn, which provides the tools for plant breeders and geneticists worldwide to help improve food security and sustainability.
